Christmas 2008

I just thought I'd put up a few pictures of our Christmas activities. We enjoyed the time we were able to spend with family, but we are glad to be home. The kids did pretty well in the car going to Utah, even Drew. He only decided to wail off and on from Evanston to Salt Lake. Coming home the kids did amazingly well considering the trip took us a lot longer than the trip over to Utah. We had to stop twice as much since Drew's eating schedule was not the same as our stopping for gas schedule. The weather made us drive much slower as well (see Daniel's blog for more info). Erik still tells us some days he wants to move back to Utah. Thanks for a fun Christmas vacation everyone!

(Pictures are in no particular order)

Enjoying the Utah snow!

Who needs presents?

Erik tore through his presents, while Lily took her time.

Emptying out the stockings.

We went sledding for the first time. Erik and Lily didn't like it at first, but that might have to do with the fact that Daniel took them down the steepest side of the hill first. What was dad thinking? When they finally got back on the sled again (on the smaller hill) they had a great time. Erik didn't want to leave...well, neither did Lily, but her face was bright pink and she kept crying about being cold. We decided it was time to go home.

Drew spent his time inside my coat, napping a little.

They were having a great time!

I'm surprised they all stayed on the sled.

We blessed Drew with a small group of family on New Year's Day. Thanks to everyone who came! We didn't bring the camera, so there aren't any pictures. Poor 3rd child! I have a feeling this may happen a lot. Hopefully he doesn't resent this fact when he's older. :)

We also enjoyed seeing Grandma and Grandpa Dub, even if the hostesses at Red Robin in Provo were somewhat retarded and we had to wait an hour an 15 minutes for a table. Geez! My dad refuses to eat there anymore. Oh well. It was nice visiting with everyone.

Thanks for a great vacation! From now on maybe we'll only visit in the spring and summer months, due to yucky road conditions in Wyoming. Hmmmm....we'll see. :)
