Moved!

We did it! We finally moved into our house. Last Saturday, January 12, we moved the majority of our things into the house. We had our beds set up so we were able to sleep here that night. We still had a few carloads of boxes and random things left at the apartment, but with the help of a few men from our ward we were able to load up all the big items and unpack them at the new house in just a few hours. They all worked hard moving our huge pieces of furniture out of our 3rd floor apartment. It was much easier moving them into our new house, especially since a lot of things could just go in the garage.
We've now been in the house for a week. Daniel made the last trip to the apartment today and got all our cleaning supplies that had been left behind. Two days ago, Thursday night, about 12 women from our "old" ward showed up to "help" me clean the apartment. In just under one hour and 30 minutes they had the entire apartment cleaned top to bottom!! They were amazing! It would have taken Daniel and I at least half a day to clean that apartment, so we are very, very grateful to all our friends for their help. We are leaving a fantastic ward and have been filled with bittersweet emotions. We love our Broomfield ward, but we are SO grateful to be in a house! We also know we are moving into a great ward, with a big primary for the kids. We are all excited and this is finally beginning to really feel like our home!
(I don't have any pictures yet, but that's on my to do list for next week...as soon as we finish unpacking the boxes that are still stacked in a few corners.)
