Well, I'm a bit behind. My parents, sister and nephew were in town for Easter/spring break, so we decided to bless Rose on Easter Sunday. Scott, Debby and Emily came to sacrament meeting with us, and Daniel, my dad, Scott and members of the bishopric participated in Rose's blessing. After the meeting we had a very yummy lunch at our house....and we actually had enough room to host everyone comfortably! After lunch we had a little Easter egg hunt in the backyard for the kids. It was a nice way to finish off our week and a half long Easter celebration. (We did the plastic egg activity where each egg contains a scripture about Jesus and Easter as well as a visual reminder of the scripture. The kids really enjoyed this activity and we will be doing it every year!) We also got an updated family picture.
I wish we had gotten more pictures, especially one of Rose in her blessing dress. Rose wore the dress my Grandma Asay had crocheted for my mom's blessing dress. How special was that! She wore a light pink onesie underneath, along with some brown/pink/white striped leggings. She was adorable!!
